We have reached our first 100 Acts!! (the last week of September)
In our class, we strive to show kindness and practice everyday acts of
courtesy. To this end, we will work to attain "100 Acts of Kindness" in our
classroom community. If a student receives an "act" from another member of
the class or school (such as returning a lost item from the gym, picking up
dropped books, etc.), we have a special chalkboard in the room to make note
of that. An Act of Kindness is defined as someone going out of his or her
way (without being asked!) to be helpful or considerate. Once we reach
100 "Acts", our class will celebrate with extra free time or another
appropriate reward. Once accomplished, the "100 Acts" Board will be cleared
and we will start again!
**guidelines for Acts:
-you cannot give yourself a mark on the board (only the receiver can)
-it should be clear that someone has gone out of their way to be kind
-you cannot ask for someone else to put a mark down for you
-making note of the act should not disrupt class activities
-once the level of 100 is reached, let's celebrate!
